Current Project Objectives – now through 2008

I. Drill a borehole for Kodmo Primary School in Xumbays -- 2008
• This is a paramount project, since the village does not have running water or safe drinking water.
• Currently, water for the school is supplied by cisterns that collect flood and rainwater.

II. Add dormitories to Kodmo Primary School in Xumbays -- 2008
• We plan to add dormitories that can accommodate up to 150 students to start a boarding school option for nomadic children.
o The boarding school will serve nomadic children in Xumbays & those of Maygaag & Qodax villages that are with in 10 Km of Xumbays.
o Gender ratio would be maintained.
o Dormitories would include 10 bathrooms for girls and 10 bathrooms for boys, as well as one big kitchen for all.
• We will build three additional classrooms for the increased number of students.
• We will build teachers’ quarters.

Future Plans – 2008 and Beyond

c. Provide teachers for Rako Raaxo
d. Provide teachers for Xiriiro
e. Provide teachers for Cambaar Sare
f . Provide teachers for Dhuudo

II. Build a modern technical school in Iskushuban that will serve all the students from the villages & small towns that graduate from grade eight.
